The construct is composed of a neuron matrix responsive to stimuli. The individual neurons have been programmed, and from the neural interconnections emerge complex signals.

The program was written in Python programming language. In addition to Python 2.5 interpreter, it requires the Python modules Pygame 1.8, and optional Psyco. To execute the source, use the command ‘python neural.py’. Executables are also provided, which does not require Python/modules installation. Neural Construct is released under the GPL v3 license.
